Dolphin Swim School is committed to providing an environment where all children, young people, and vulnerable adults involved in our activities have a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience.
Our Commitments
To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, Dolphin Swim School agrees to:
Adopt and implement safeguarding policies and procedures in line with best practice as guided by Swim England.
Recognise that all children and vulnerable adults, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, or disability, have the right to be protected from harm.
Ensure all staff and volunteers create a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Appoint a Designated Welfare Officer to lead on safeguarding matters within the organisation.
Make the Designated Welfare Officer’s contact details easily accessible to all staff, customers, and parents.
Ensure the Designated Officer is available to discuss safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately.
Require that all staff and volunteers:
Complete appropriate safeguarding training
Have DBS checks
Follow approved safeguarding practices
Follow ‘Safe Recruitment’ practices for all roles involving children or vulnerable adults.
Provide clear training, codes of conduct, and good practice guidance for all involved with DSS.
Offer safe and confidential ways for parents, guardians, and participants to raise concerns.
Handle all safeguarding issues in line with reporting and action protocols.
Maintain confidentiality, in line with the best interests of the individual concerned.
Keep all safeguarding records safe, secure, and confidential.
